Error C1900208 When Upgrading to Windows 10 - The Happy Android

One of the common errors when trying to update your system to Windows 10 is the well-known error C1900208. Since Windows 10 came out back in the summer of 2015, some installation failures have been detected, which although they have not been catastrophic, they have come to tarnish in a certain way what on the other hand is one of the best OS that Microsoft has published in a while. The aforementioned error pops up when starting the installation of the new operating system, and once it is displayed on the screen, it prevents continuing with the system update. The message that is displayed on the screen is usually the following:

    Installation status: Failed

Error Details: Error Code C1900208

This error is caused by your computer's antivirus (usually because it is performing a scan or has an active process that prevents the system update).

The solution lies in deactivating the antivirus while you are updating (or uninstalling it completely if the same error continues to appear after deactivating it).

Once the antivirus is deactivated, delete the contents of the folder C: \ Windows \ SoftwareDistribution \ Download.

Then run in ms-dos (Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt (run as administrator with the right button)) and run the command wuauclt.exe / updatenow.

Try to update your system to Windows 10. And remember to activate or install the antivirus again.
