From the outset, the first thing that strikes us about this Redmi S2 is that for an entry range it is not bad at all. It's kind of light version of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, but it still has a good processor and more than acceptable RAM. Especially for the price that fits.
In addition, it equips the most recent version of Android, something that we do not see in the rest of the Chinese smartphones that are coming out this year. And that, as much as it hurts, is a detail that we must certainly value in favor of Xiaomi.
Design and display
The Xiaomi Redmi S2 has a 5.99 ”screen with HD + resolution (1440x720p) and a pixel density of 269ppi. On the back we find a metal casing where the fingerprint reader, the company logo and a double camera in a vertical arrangement have been located.
The terminal is available in gray, gold and rose gold colors. It has dimensions of 16.07 x 7.73 x 0.81 cm and a weight of 165 grams.
Power and performance
Inside the Redmi 2S we discovered quite interesting hardware. On the one hand, we find a processor Snapdragon 625 Octa Core 2.0GHz, Accompanied by 3GB RAM, Adreno 506 GPU and 32GB of internal storage expandable up to 256GB. As an operating system the mentioned Android Oreo.
