IPTV services to watch local and regional TV on your mobile (300 channels)

Unlike streaming platforms or on-demand content, IPTV services allow us to watch TV live and direct. Something that can be great for us to watch our favorite channels and programs, whether from the mobile, the tablet, the TV box or any other Android device.

In today's tutorial we are going to see how we can see all the regional and local TV channels of Spanish DTT, live and free, directly from the mobile. To do this, we are going to use the KODI application, a multimedia player that we can configure for this purpose.

Is it legal to watch TV through IPTV channels?

The IPTV service that we are going to use to watch channels like ETB, TV3, Canal Sur or Telemadrid it is perfectly legal. Unlike other add-ons for KODI that offer access to premium or pay channels, the only thing we are going to capture here is the broadcasts of free-to-air TV channels, but broadcast over the Internet. Basically, they are the same that we could see from the DTT of the home television, but online.

If we are interested in watching TV from other countries outside of Spain:

• IPTV services to watch international online TV channels.
• Live TV channels for Latin America (Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and many others).

How to see all the regional, local and international channels of Spanish DTT on Android

The volume of TV channels that we will be able to access is very extensive. At the end of the post you can consult the complete list made up of more than 300 Spanish TV channels.

With that said, let's see how the setup process works.

1. Download the KODI app

KODI is a local and online media player. It is open source and open source, managed by the XBMC Foundation. A completely legal application that we can download without any problem from the Google Play Store.

Once we have the application installed, we will proceed to download the list (a file in M3U8 format) that collects the Internet broadcasts of all the local and regional Spanish television channels that are currently operating.

2. Download the IPTV list of broadcasts through the Internet

To be able to watch Spanish TV in its entirety from your mobile in the KODI app, we must access THIS Github repository. Until now they only had general channels (Antena 3, Tele 5 and others), but recently it has been updated to also collect live broadcasts from hundreds of regional and local channels.

Here we will find mainly 2 download options:

• Individual: If we do not want all the channels, we can select only those that interest us by clicking on the link "TV: Full List”.
• All DTT channels: We can also download everything in a single M3U8 file, by clicking on the link "M3U8”That we see marked in the image below. The most recommended option if we want to have the entire catalog.

To download, just keep your finger pressed on the link that interests us and select "Download link”. The m3u8 file will appear in the "Downloads" folder.

3. Load the channel list into KODI

The last step in the process is to add the M3U8 file that we just downloaded to KODI.

• First we open the KODI app.
• In the side menu we go to "Add-ons”(Accessories) and click on“Install from repository”.
• 
• Now, let's go up to "PVR Clients -> PVR IPTV Simple Client”, Click on«Install»And then we enter“Configure”.

• NOTE: If we do not have the IPTV client installed (it does not appear in the list of "My Add-ons"), We can download it from"My Add-ons -> Search"Doing a search with the term"PVR IPTV Simple Client ”.
• Now we are going to "General -> M3U Play List Path”And select the M3U8 file that we downloaded from Github. We press "okay”.

• Finally, we return to the main screen of PVR IPTV Simple Client. Click on "Enable”.

If everything has gone correctly, we will have added all the national, regional, local and international TV channels. To be able to view them, we just have to go to the KODI main menu and enter "TV -> Channels”.

As a final recommendation, mention that it is important to emphasize that public IP relay channels are changing. If we drop the signal on any channel, it is advisable to go back to Github and download the most recent M3U8 (they usually update the repository frequently). In that aspect there is usually not much problem.
