How to download and install Google Play Store on any Android

The Google Play Store is the official store for applications, games and content on Android. It is true that there are other repositories of apps for our mobile, but simply by catalog and volume, Google Play is certainly the most important.

Nevertheless, Google Play is updated quite often, and it is possible that the new changes that are being implemented take time to reach our device. Even the most recent versions may have a bug and do not work as they should in our terminal. Or that we have uninstalled the app store by mistake. Stranger things have happened…

For these situations, what we need is a working version of the Google Play Store. Either the newer version or a slightly older one. We'll see now how to download and install it correctly on any Android.

How to download and install Google Play on any Android terminal

In the event that we only want to update the Play Store, the first thing we will have to do is check the version we have installed on our computer. For it:

  • We open Google Play.
  • We display the side menu and click on "Settings”.
  • At the end we will see a section with the version number of the Play Store.

At the time of writing this post, the most recent version is 11.4.15 (data that will undoubtedly be obsolete in a few days).

Before installing a newer version in the way that we will below, we will also need to make sure that our phone is compatible with the most current versions of the Play Store. Quite likely, on the other hand, unless we have a really old cell phone.

Download the APK from Google Play

Now, how can we install an app without going into Google Play? Very easy, by installing an APK file on Android. APK files are like the .EXE installation packages that we use in Windows.

From where can we download old and recent versions of the Play Store? In these cases it is best to resort to sources or libraries of quality and reliable apps, such as APK Mirror.

The best thing about APK M; irror is that all APKs are official versions.

Installing the Play Store directly on the mobile

If we already have the APK we need, we only have to install it. Before starting, we may want to enable the installation of APK files on the device. We are going to "Settings -> Security" and we activate the tab "Unknown sources".

Once this is done, we just have to open the APK from Google Play Store that we just downloaded. During the installation we may receive a security warning. We say yes to everything and we move forward.

Ready, we already have the Google Play store installed on our Android.

How to install Google Play from PC

If we do not have WiFi or we do not want to spend data we can also do this same process from the PC.

  • We download the corresponding APK from APK Mirror.
  • We activate the installation of applications from unknown sources in the terminal.
  • We connect the device to the PC via USB.
  • We copy the APK file to the phone.
  • We open a file manager. We locate the folder where we have left the APK and execute the installation.

Problems in the Google Play Store?

The Google Services framework is a service that allows Google Play to communicate with the applications that we have installed on the phone, and search for updates etc. If we have problems in the store or do not receive updates, it is possible that some of these services have stopped working.

To solve these kinds of problems we can perform a cache cleanup, both from "Google Play Store" and "Google Play Services".

  • We are going to "Settings -> Applications”In the phone settings menu.
  • We look for the “Google Play Store”And click on it.
  • We go to "Storage" and select "Clear cache”.
  • We repeat this same process with the “Google Play services”.

And that's all for today. Any annotation or query, as always, see you in the comments area!
