How to Install Windows 10 from a USB Memory - The Happy Android

Now that Windows 10 has been on the market for some time and its use has been standardized, we will surely be interested in creating a bootable USB with the installation package of the new Microsoft operating system. Until now we could create bootable DVDs with the operating system package that we wanted to install, but the truth is that for a while now many computers, especially laptops, they do not have a CD / DVD reader, so having a USB stick from which to launch the installations is absolutely essential.

In order to create a bootable USB with the Windows 10 installation package we need the following:

A 4 GB pendrive or USB memory.

The Windows 10 Installer ISO Image. You can download the image from Microsoft's own page, by clicking HERE.

The Media Creation Tool app from Microsoft to be able to record the Windows 10 image on the USB. You can download it by clicking HERE.

Step 1: The first thing we have to do is run Microsoft's Media Creation Tool application. As soon as we execute it, a message of "License terms”. As always, we accept the terms.

Step 2: Next we select "Create installation media for another PC”.

Select "Create a media ..." to start creating the installer

Step 3: In the next window we can choose Windows 10 version, architecture (32 or 64 bit) and the language. Select the options according to your needs and click on "Next”.

Select language, version and architecture

Step 4: Now we have to choose if we want to install the package on a USB or download it in an ISO image to later burn it on a DVD. Since we are going to record on a pendrive we will choose "USB flash drive”.

Select "USB flash drive" to save the copy directly to a pendrive

Step # 5: In this window simply we will choose the drive of the pendrive where we are going to save the copy. Make sure, of course, that you do not have relevant information on your pendrive, since once the files have been installed, you will lose all the data that had previously been stored.

We select the USB drive where we are going to install

Step # 6: The download of Windows 10 will then begin. This process may take several minutes. Patience is a virtue. Be patient, friend.

The download may take a long time. Go have a quiet drink

This is all. Once the download is complete, the USB memory will be ready for use. If we want to install Windows 10 on a device we will only have to start the PC so that it loads directly from the USB, and be able to perform the installation without problems. Keep in mind that if you have not previously configured it, you must enter the BIOS or UEFI of your computer and adjust it so that the first boot device is your USB memory instead of the operating system that is installed by default.
