The client versions of Windows 7 were released in versions for 32-bit and 64-bit architectures in the editions Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate.
The 32-bit versions support 16-bit and 32-bit programs, and the 64-bit versions support both 32-bit and 64-bit programs.

- It is marketed worldwide, for OEMs and stores.
- Includes user interface and Aero.
- Support for multi-touch.
- Add "premium" games.
- Multimedia (Media Center, DVD Playback, and more)
Windows 7 Professional
- For everyone, OEMs and stores.
- Includes all the features of Windows 7 Home Premium.
- Better ability to work online.
- Greater data protection, with EFS (Encrypting File System).
Windows 7 Enterprise
- Only for companies.
- Includes all the features of Windows 7 Professional.
- It also includes the BitLocker tool for disk encryption.
Windows 7 Ultimate
- Limited availability to OEMs and stores.
- Includes all the features of Windows 7 Enterprise.
