Teclast X22 Air, an inexpensive 21.5 ”All in One with 128GB SSD

Sometimes you forget that Teclast is not just a manufacturer of tablet PCs and laptops. And so from time to time you find surprises like this Teclast X22 Air. A slim and cute All in One desktop PC, in the same vein as the iMac, but without leaving us a kidney along the way.

Teclast X22 Air in review, an All in One with cheap Intel Celeron CPU for office automation and multimedia

The Teclast X22 Air is a desktop computer with a mid-range hardware ideal for daily office automation tasks, navigation and visualization of multimedia content. A PC without a tower where all the components are hidden behind the screen. "A single monitor to attract them all and tie them to darkness", as Tolkien would say.

Design and display

This all-in-one from Teclast features a 21.5-inch screen with a Full HD resolution, 16: 9 aspect ratio and a 178 degree viewing angle. The bezels are satisfactorily thin, with a thickness across the width of the monitor of only 9.1mm at the thinnest part - the top.

Behind the screen we find several ports: 2 USB 3.0 ports and 3 USB 2.0 ports, VGA slot, HDMI output, RJ45 connector, power and headphone input. It also incorporates 2 stereo speakers, one on each side of the monitor.

The X22 has overall dimensions of 50.20 x 35.60 x 9.20cm and a weight of 3kg.

Power and performance

At the component level, we find a mid-range computer with several aspects to highlight. Equip an SoC Intel CeleronQuad Core running at 2.24GHz, GPU Intel HD Graphics 400, 4GB of RAM DDR3L expandable up to 16GB and a 128GB SSD drive with space for an additional SSD in mSATA format. Of course, the operating system does not come standard -incorporates DOS- so we will have to install it on our own. It also mounts a LAN card and offers 802.11b / g / n WiFi connectivity.

At the performance level, the Teclast X22 Air offers something halfway between a good laptop and a normal but quarrelsome desktop computer. The operation is undoubtedly efficient, and thanks to the SSD we will be able to navigate and work with applications at an enviable pace.

However, we do not have excessive processing power for heavy editing tasks, and we may need to increase the RAM if we are going to work with applications such as Photoshop or Adobe Premiere at a professional level.

Of course, to work with spreadsheets, word processors, surf the Internet and watch videos we are very much left over.

Price and availability

The Teclast X22 Air has a price of 353.45 dollars, about 293.06 euros to change, on GearBest. On other trusted sites such as AliExpress presents a price of 379.99$, about 312 euros. Overall, it is more than outstanding value for money for what this Teclast All in One offers.
