In today's review we look at the Vkworld Mix Plus, a frameless smartphone equipped with 3GB of RAM that has just been presented at a starting price less than 100 euros (€ 94 to be more exact).
Design and display
The design of the Vkworld Mix Plus is the most striking point of the terminal. It is presented as an inspired copy of the Xiaomi Mi Mix, which is possibly the best smartphone without frames of the moment.
This translates into a frameless screen that occupies 90% of the phone's front panel. It has a size of 5.5 ”with 2.5D arched and an HD resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels. All this protected by the always resistant Corning Gorilla glass. On the other hand, the device comes in 2 colors: dark gray and blue.
Power and performance
When it comes to the hardware of the Mix Plus, we find a Mediatek MTK6737 processor 4-core running at 1.3GHz, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space (made by Samsung). All this, under the umbrella of Android Nougat 7.0.
At the performance level we could say that it is a not very powerful terminal, but that stands out for those 3GB of RAM, which are greatly appreciated. In general, it is an ideal terminal for those looking for a mobile for day to day. A smartphone with which you can chat, surf the internet and use simple apps and games without any complications.
Camera and battery
As for the camera of this Vkworld we do not find big surprises. One 8.0MP rear lens expanded to 13.0MP via software, and a selfie camera that has been relocated to the lower bezel of the front with 5.0MP expanded to 8.0MP via software. A correct camera, very much in line with the rest of the range competitors.
The battery on the other hand, has a capacity of 2850mAh, which offers reasonable autonomy thanks to low processor consumption and efficient management by the operating system. Perhaps a battery that reached up to 3000mAh would have been appreciated, but for a base-range smartphone, and taking into account the price of the device, it is more than acceptable.
Connectivity and other features
The Mix Plus has a fingerprint detector on the back and has connectivity Bluetooth 4.0. Supports FDD-LTE, GSM, WCDMA (2G / 3G / 4G) networks, Dual sim (micro SIM and nano SIM), it charges by micro USB and has a weight of 165gr.
