UMI has already started preparing its new batch of terminals for the company's premium line. If recently we were very pleasantly surprised with the new UMI Plus E, the current top of the UMI range thanks to its 6GB RAM, today we have to talk about another of the key terminals of the house for 2017, the UMI Z. This mobile phone stands out in another equally decisive component: the processor. Presenting a Helio X27 10-core CPU, we are facing one of the greats of the season, which also incorporates a amazing front camera with a resolution of 13 megapixels, rarely seen in these parts.

Design and display
At the design level, the UMI Z is a smartphone very similar to the UMI Plus. Unibody metallic body with rounded edges and a really stylish premium finish. In this case, the rear camera has been moved from the center to the left side, but the rest remains unchanged. If it works, why change it?
The screen is 5.5 inch and has FullHD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). A quality screen with 2.5D arched panel, under which we will find a physical button, which will also serve as a fingerprint detector.
Power and performance
Performance is one of the strengths of the UMI Z. It has the best Mediatek processor today, the Helio X27 ten-core running at 2.6GHz. To accompany this powerful CPU UMI has incorporated 4GB of RAM, thus obtaining a high performance that will allow the terminal to be squeezed to the maximum.
In addition, it incorporates 32GB of internal storage space for our documents, photos and videos, while Android 6.0 takes care of keeping all the gear at bay. Please note: the phone will also receive an update to Android 7.0 via OTA.
Camera and battery
The camera is another of the strengths of the UMI Z, and more specifically its front camera, manufactured by Samsung. It has a 13MP resolution that will allow us to take some selfies of a much higher quality to the rest of the range competitors. The rear camera shares the same resolution as 13MP than the front, adding, yes, dual focus and Quad-LED flash for better photos.
UMI has always been characterized by providing its devices with good autonomy, and although this terminal does not reach the 4000mAh of the UMI Plus, it is very close thanks to the good battery it carries, with a 3780mAh capacity and manufactured by Sony.
Price and availability
Given the characteristics of the UMI Z we could be quietly talking about a phone that would be around 250 euros. Instead, UMI has decided to market this terminal for a very competitive price of € 199 ($ 219.99 to change).
The terminal will not start shipping until January 31, but it is already available at the next GearBest flash sale . A terminal with a presence that promises to be the favorite of many in 2017. Good value for money and performance well above the average.
