I was reviewing the news in mobile phones from GearBest, and I have come across this interesting Nokia X6. A terminal that came out about 5 months ago, and that since then has received a good number of compliments. Nokia is back, folks.
Where the Finnish firm really seems comfortable is in the mid-range, and this Nokia X6 is a good example of what they can achieve if they decide to go high-end and focus exclusively on these types of devices. High-quality terminals that, however, keep prices a little lower than the competition. Something similar to what Xiaomi does (it is about time that they also get competition).

But let's not fool ourselves either. As beautiful as it all seems, it is a mobile that also has its shortcomings, such as, for example, a battery that barely reaches 3,100mAh. But let's go by parts ...
Design and display
The Nokia X6 has a 5.8-inch IPS screen with Full HD + resolution (2280x1080p), an aspect ratio of 19: 9, 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and a pixel density of 432ppi. A screen without frames of very good quality that occupies almost the entire front of the device, and that also has the famous notch, as you can see in the photos.
The design is certainly one of the biggest draws on this X6. An elegant terminal that enters through the eyes, with a glass sheet casing that enhances the premium look of the phone. It has dimensions of 14.72 x 7.10 x 0.80 cm, weighing only 153 grams, and is available in black and white colors.
Power and performance
The Nokia X6 equips the new chip from Qualcomm's latest batch of mid-range processors, the Snapdragon 636 Octa Core 1.8GHz. An SoC perfectly accompanied by a muscular 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 256GB via micro SD card. The operating system is Android 8.1.
The device also has unlocking function by facial recognition (in addition to the classic fingerprint unlocking). Among its other features is also artificial intelligence (AI), which makes recommendations to better manage the desktop. An AI, which by the way is also found in the camera software, aimed at making adjustments to improve the shots.
For performance purposes we find a phone that offers a respectable benchmarking result of 109,000 points in Antutu. A figure that is well above the typical mid-range Chinese mobile phones.
Camera and battery
In the artistic section, the Nokia X6 bets on a dual sensor camera with a resolution of 16MP + 5MP with aperture f / 2.0, HDR image processing and effect bokeh. The front also mounts an excellent 16MP lens, with beauty mode and AI to enhance the photos.
The battery is the weakest point of the X6, with a battery that stays in correct ones 3060mAh with USB Type-C charging. The good thing about all this is that also features QC3.0 fast charging, which means that at least we can charge up to 50% of the battery in just half an hour.
Among its other features, it has Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, Dual nano SIM and support for WiFi AC.
Price and availability
The Nokia X6 is currently priced at $ 199.99, about 178 euros to change, on GearBest. A really interesting price for a terminal with similar characteristics.
The truth is that we can put few drawbacks to this Nokia X6, beyond the issue of the battery: a very good screen, more than enough power, a very careful design and an almost demolition price. A terminal to take into account if we are looking for a mid-range with premium quality at an interesting price.
