A couple of months ago Google banned a total of 41 apps from the Play Android Store. The reason? These apps appeared to be behind one of the biggest Android ad scams in history.
The notice was released by the security company Check Point. These 41 malware-infected apps had malicious code that opened web pages in the background and clicks on ads, resulting in significant ad revenue for the creators of these apps.
"Judy" was downloaded over 36 million times
The malware, known as “Judy”, Is present in these 41 mobile apps, which were downloaded a total of 36.5 million times. A deception that was very difficult to identify not only by the Play Store, but by the users of the apps themselves, since all "action" was always carried out in the background.

The applications have already been removed from Google Play, but taking into account that have been operating undetected at least since April 2016, it is more than likely that there are still many users with these applications installed on their terminal.
