In today's review we reviewed the Lenovo P8 (TAB 8 Plus), an 8-inch Android tablet with more than competent hardware and a reasonable price, the kind that create fans. We started!
Design and display
This Lenovo P8 has a capacitive screen of 8 inches with a resolution of 1920x1200p (WUXGA). A lightweight 320gr tablet with a rough plastic back shell. This is a plus, since apart from not leaving marks, it provides a good grip to the device.
For the rest, a tablet with a good screen and a design within the correct and expected. Nothing to object.
It has dimensions of 20.80 x 12.30 x 0.88 cm and has a micro USB port, slot for memory card and headphone input 3.5mm.
Power and performance
One of the most attractive points of the Lenovo TAB 8 Plus is its hardware. Inside we find an SoC Snapdragon 625 Octa Core running at 2.0GHz, GPU Adreno 506, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage expandable. All this at the command of Android 6.0. It also has WiFi ac and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
As with the Fire HD, we will undoubtedly have to use an SD card if we want some space in conditions, but otherwise, we are facing an efficient and good performance tablet. A quality CPU and RAM high enough to navigate, play and use any app from the Google Play Store comfortably.
It is not a high-end tablet, but for 99% of Android applications it is more than enough, being far superior to the Amazon Fire HD Tablet. In benchmarking tests he obtains results of 59398 in Antutu and 38020 in Quadrant.
Camera and battery
As with most tablets, the camera is a purely cosmetic accessory. In the case of the Lenovo P8 this translates into an 8.0MP rear camera and a 5.0MP front camera.
Regarding autonomy, it presents a more than solvent battery of 4250mAh.
Price and availability
The Lenovo P8 (TAB 8 Plus) currently has a price of 150.93 euros, about $ 182.03 to change, in GearBest. On other trusted sites, such as AliExpress, right now it is on sale, being able to take it home for 136.76 euros, about $ 167.51.
In short, we are facing an Android tablet with a very good value for money. Something more expensive than Amazon Fire HD Tablet, but with far superior hardware. Ideal as an entertainment device, for surfing the internet, watching videos on a decent screen, and playing an occasional game without performance issues.
