Many are the brands that try to emulate the success of Samsung's Galaxy S models. They are trendsetting smartphones and each year they have their corresponding cheap knockoffs or "clones."
The S9 Plus is Homtom's bet for the mid-range this season. Although only with the name of the terminal we already get an idea of where the shots go, the truth is that it is interesting to see what have been the sections that Homtom has decided to promote to attract the attention of its public.

The Homtom S9 Plus is the answer of the Asian company to approach the pleasant shadow of the Samsung Galaxy S8. Its differentiating factor? A 16.0MP dual rear camera and a powerful 4050mAh battery.
Design and display
In the design section, the concept is overwhelming: a smartphone without frames, with a large 5.99-inch screen, with HD + resolution of 720 × 1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18: 9.
A design that is very reminiscent of the Galaxy S8, with a polished casing that gives it a premium touch that always dresses well and is appreciated, especially in mid-range mobiles.
Power and performance
In the technical section of the Homtom S9 Plus we find a processor Mediatek 6750T Octa Core 1.5GHz, 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage expandable by card. It uses a Mali T860 GPU to move the graphics and Android 7.0 as the operating system.
It seems that the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM combo with an MTK6750 is working really well, since we do not stop seeing terminals with these same characteristics in most of the big brands in the Asian market. Relatively inexpensive components with more than satisfactory results.
Camera and battery
When it comes to the camera, the S9 Plus has made an effort to give it a little nudge. Instead of the typical 13.0MP dual rear camera we find a 16.0MP + 5.0MP dual lens. The front camera, which is located in the lower left margin, has a resolution of 13.0MP.
Autonomy for its part is reinforced with a brisk 4050mAh battery, well above the usual 3000mAh and the like that we usually see lately in the various clones of the Samsung Galaxy S8.
Other features
The Homtom S9 Plus has Bluetooth 4.0 and supports 2G networks: GSM 850/900/1800 / 1900MHz, 3G: WCDMA 900 / 2100MHz and 4G: FDD-LTE 800/1800/2100 / 2600MHz. It also has a slot for Dual sim (Nano SIM + Nano SIM) and charging via cable micro USB.
The terminal also includes a cover and a protective film, as well as a USB cable, OTG cable and charger.
Price and availability
The Homtom S9 Plus has just been presented in society, and can already be obtained in the pre-sale phase for a price of $ 159.99, about 135 euros to change, on GearBest during October 23 and 30. From that date, its official price will be $ 179.99.
