Leagoo T5 in analysis: a cheap mobile with 4GB of RAM and 64GB

There are a good handful of people out there - I would say that a large majority - who do not need the latest top of the range of 700 euros to consider that their smartphone it's a good terminal. At the end of the day, everything depends on the use that we are going to give it.

Leagoo is a company that has always moved in the low and medium range, delivering products where value for money plays a primary role. Today we talk about T5, Leagoo's new device for the tightest pockets.

Analysis of the Leagoo T5, lots of RAM and disk space for just over € 100

The Leagoo T5 is a phone that is in the most economical mid-rangeYes, but that does not mean that it gives up a good amount of RAM and abundant storage space. If these are some of the most important characteristics that we take into account when it comes to getting an accessible mid-range, it is likely that this Leagoo T5 meets our expectations efficiently.

Design and display

The new Leagoo T5 features a 5.5 ”IPS screen with Full HD resolution (1920x1080p). The terminal has a design with rounded edges and a physical button on the front panel that also serves as a fingerprint reader.

The phone has dimensions of 15.30 x 7.61 x 0.79 cm, a weight of 160 grams and is available in 2 colors: black and champagne.

Power and performance

With regard to the hardware of this Leagoo T5 we find a Mediatek 6750T Octa Core 1.5GHz processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space expandable up to 256GB by card, all running under Android 7.0.

The CPU falls within what is expected, and although it is not a marvel, it is one of those processors that behaves really well and is one of the best that we can find in terminals of this price range. All this together with a generous RAM and a good amount of space make this T5 a balanced smartphone like few others and capable of "pulling the car" even in adverse situations.

Camera and battery

Regarding the photographic section, Leagoo has decided to include the always grateful double rear camera, equipping a 13.0MP lens and a 5.0MP lens with flash and autofocus, to achieve the well-known bokeh effect. On the front, on the contrary, we find a single camera with 13.0MP resolution. It seems that the new mid-range smartphones that arrive from China are beginning to give importance to the selfie camera - until now they were 5MP or 8MP at most-, and the truth is that it is something to be appreciated.

The battery for its part stays at a correct 3000mAh, the right amount to offer a good autonomy and not to excessively increase the weight of the terminal. In that sense, at least, we can rest easy.

Other functionalities

The Leagoo T5 has Dual SIM (nano SIM + nano SIM), Bluetooth 4.0 and supports networks 2 G (GSM 850/900/1800 / 1900MHz), 3G (WCDMA 850/900 / 2100MHz) and 4G (FDD-LTE 800/850/900/1800/2100 / 2600MHz TDD-LTE B40).

Price and availability

The new Leagoo T5 is now available in stores like GearBest for just over 110 euros, about $ 129.99 to change. A really affordable price for those looking for good RAM and specifications that, without being the best in the world, stand out notably above its range competitors, resulting in a balanced phone in practically every way.
