How to easily join videos on Android with Google Photos

We have discussed it many times, but I will not tire of repeating it: Google Photos is a tremendously powerful tool. It works as a gallery application, as a backup and even allows you to make small photo retouching. In the case of videos, it also has a most interesting function that not many know about: the possibility of join and edit multiple videos really easily.

How to join 2 or more videos from your mobile with the only help of Google Photos

If you have a TikTok, Instagram or any other social network account and you need to edit your videos in a more professional way, Google Photos is one of the best options, since it comes pre-installed on most Android phones. The function of joining or joining videos is a bit hidden, really, but as you will see it is one of the most practical and easy-to-use features of Google Photos. Let's see how it works.

  • First of all make sure that the video clips you want to put together are uploaded to Google Photos. If any of the videos does not appear, you can upload it by activating the synchronization of the folder where it is located by entering the "Library" tab (if the folder is not synchronized, it will appear with the crossed-out icon of a cloud).

  • Click on the magnifying glass icon (“Look for”) That you will see in the lower menu of Google Photos and scroll until you reach the section“Creations -> Movies”.
  • Now hit the button "+ Create movie"And select"New movie”.

  • This will take us to a new selection menu where we can choose the videos that we want to use in our new creation. Images can also be added. Once we have all the elements selected, click on "Create”.
  • Finally, we will access an editing tool where we will have several tracks, one for each video or image. From here we can adjust the order and duration of each of the videos in the final cluster.
  • If we click on the 3-point icon located next to each clip, we will see that the tool offers us some editing functions, such as silencing the video, duplicating it, etc.
  • By default Google Photos will add a preset music to the final video, but we can also modify it, mute it or add our own music if we click on the icon of the musical note.
  • Likewise, if we click on the frame icon, the editor will also allow us to save the resulting video in vertical or horizontal format. Not bad!

Once we have everything to our liking, we just have to click on the button "Keep" and ready. The resulting video will be added to our "Movies" list on Google Photos. As you can see, it is a very simple video editor, but it can be great for making video creations that are a bit more elaborate and professional than the typical sequence shot.
