Ulefone X in analysis, new clone of the iPhone X for the mid-range

Ulefone is famous for its smartphones with gigantic capacity batteries. But today we are not going to talk about the last Ulefone Power on duty. The company's new mobile is also a mid-range, yes, but its objective is another: to present itself as an affordable clone of the iPhone X from Apple.

In today's review we talk about the Ulefone X, a nice clone of the terminal star of the boys of the block.

Ulefone X in review, an affordable mid-range all screen with notch, 4GB of RAM and triple camera

The truth is that at first glance the Ulefone X is fine as an interesting imitation of the iPhone X. The only "but" that we can put is the screen: it could have a little more resolution and nothing would happen either, but in general it is more That acceptable, with a value for money that reaches the remarkable quietly.

Design and display

The Ulefone X wears a 5.85-inch screen with an HD + resolution of 1512x720p and a pixel density of 275ppi. A screen that occupies almost the entire front of the terminal, if not for the characteristic notch or "notch" at the top.

Behind we find the double camera, located on one of the sides and in a vertical formation, with the fingerprint detector placed in the center for greater ease of unlocking.

The new Ulefone terminal has dimensions of 15.10 x 7.34 x 0.90 cm, a weight of 217 grams and is available in black or white. That said, it is clear that it is a device "to be noticed" in your pocket.

Power and performance

At the hardware level, we find components that are somewhat better than what we could expect in a 150-euro mobile. Specifically, this Ulefone X equips an SoC Helio P23 Octa Core 2.0GHz, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space expandable up to 256GB via SD. All this with Android 8.1 Oreo as the operating system.

With this we have a mobile a little more competent than the rest of Chinese smartphones of the type. We can save a lot of photos, videos, and run apps without fear of being jerked or overheated (unless, of course, we opt for very heavy games). Come on, the usual in the mid-range, but with a slight plus.

For practical purposes, this translates into a benchmarking result of 83,998 points in Antutu. A more than acceptable data.

Camera and battery

The Ulefone X mounts a triple camera: 2 on the back and a lens for the selfie area. In the back we find two lenses of 16MP + 5MP with f / 2.2 aperture and effect bokeh. For the front, a 13MP camera with the classic beauty mode to enhance and touch up less fortunate selfies.

As for the battery, we discovered a 3300mAh battery, with Qi wireless charging, and support for 5W fast charging. A stack that promises very good results, thanks to the processor and a screen that "sucks" less than usual (something good had to have the fact of using an HD).

Connectivity

This device has OTG, Bluetooth 4.0, Dual 4G LTE, dual band AC WiFi and a slot for two SIM cards (Nano).

Price and availability

The Ulefone X has just been presented in society, and can already be purchased in pre-sale by $ 182.99, about 157 euros to change, on GearBest. It can also be purchased on Amazon at a price that, at the time of writing this post, is slightly below 200 euros.

In short, we are faced with a phone that emulates the iPhone X both in terms of aesthetics and name, but that is much heavier and with a screen that remains in a correct HD + without too much fanfare. On the positive side, an above-average performance and a more than desirable value for money, with some pleasant surprises such as the wireless charging function.
