Before video game websites and portals multiplied like spores on the Internet, if you wanted to find out about the games that were hitting it, you had no choice but to buy a good magazine. In the 90s the specialized publications that cut cod here in Spain were Hobby Consoles and Micromania.
Each got their little piece of the cake: Hobby Consolas specialized in video consoles, while Micromania was more focused on games and software for Spectrum, Amstrad, and desktop computers. I remember buying a copy of the Micromania back in 1988 and they were a real "bump", they had to be folded as if they were newspapers!

Retromania (supplement)
001 | 002 | 003 | 004 | 005 | 006 |
Personally, I remember that many of my friends - myself included - put Micromania aside when Hobby Consolas came out (which was a real boom), but looking at all these numbers with the perspective that the years give, I think they have much more quality and are better written than the Hobby Consoles of the time. What do you think, do you still keep any of these magazines on paper?
