Elephone E10, a mobile 4 cameras and NFC for 100 euros peeled

Elephone is one of those Chinese manufacturers that does not stop bringing new mobiles to the market without interruption. It is personally one of my favorite brands when it comes to cheap smartphones, and I must confess that to this day I still have the Elephone P8 Mini that I bought 3 years ago. In today's post we come to talk about one of the latest models of the company, the Elephone E10.

Elephone E10, a base range with 4GB of RAM, 4,000mAh battery and quad 48MP rear camera

At the moment the brand is promoting other more recent models, such as the E10 Pro and the Elephone PX Pro, but I think they are too expensive for what they have to offer, this Elephone E10 being a much more interesting bet in terms of quality ratio- price. When a mobile of this type is too far from 100 euros to embrace prices that are around 200 napos there, I prefer to go for more conventional brands such as Xiaomi, where the camera and battery tend to offer greater performance in general. Although if what we are looking for is a really cheap smartphone, both Elephone and Vernee or UMI are usually options to take into account.

Design and display

The Elephone E10 features a bezel-less display 6.5 inches with HD + resolution (1560 x 720p), a pixel density of 264ppi (medium density) and 2.5D curved glass. A screen with the typical notch design that gives the terminal a modern touch. It has dimensions of 77.3 x 163.6 x 8.5mm, a weight of 193 grams and is available in 3 colors: black, blue and green.

It is clear that the screen is not of great quality, a FullHD resolution would have been quite a hoot, but taking into account that we are facing a low range it is understandable that they have had to cut in certain aspects that would otherwise make the terminal more expensive. It is not ideal, but at least the design is attractive that it is already something.

Power and performance

If we look into the guts of the Elephone E10 we see that mount a Helio P22 chip (MT6762D) Octa Core running at 2GHz, with PowerVR GE8320 GPU and 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of internal storage space expandable via SD card. All accompanied by Android 10, the most recent version of Google's operating system so far.

At the performance level, we therefore have a device with all the security patches and functionalities of Android 10 that offers a very respectable benchmarking result in Antutu: 93,400 points. As a "star" functionality, mention that has NFC connectivity, something very unusual in mid-range and low-end mobiles.

Camera and battery

The rear camera is another of the most attractive aspects of the E10: a quad camera with a 48MP main sensor, with a 13MP wide angle lens, 2MP portrait mode lens and a 5MP macro lens. A hardware that we can expect to behave well in bright environments, but that will undoubtedly suffer in night photos (in that sense, do not expect many surprises). The front camera for its part provides 13MP for selfies, which is not bad either.

With regard to autonomy, the Elephone E10 mounts a fairly powerful battery of 4,000mAh with fast charge (10W) via USB C.

Other features

In addition to the aforementioned NFC, the terminal includes Bluetooth 5.0, Dual SIM (nano + nano), WiFi Direct and USB OTG, although it lacks a 3.5mm jack for headphones.

Price and availability

The Elephone E10 currently has a price of $ 119.99, about € 108.96 to change on sites like GearBest.

In short, a cheap mobile but updated to Android 10, with a good design and performance to browse, watch videos, chat and play a few games from time to time, a decent camera and NFC transfer, something that is not seen all the days on a lower-mid-range phone like this one. It also has its shortcomings, such as a resolution that does not exceed HD and the absence of a minijack input for headphones, although if this is not a big problem, its value for money is the best that we will find this 2020 within the ranges cheaper Android.
