Would you like to know the real performance of your mobile phone? Know if your Xiaomi Mi5 is better than the Samsung Galaxy S7? Many times it is not enough to know the technical specifications of the smartphone. You can have a very powerful processor, but if it is not well integrated and does not know how to manage the system correctly, it can offer lower performance than another, a priori, weaker processor. And this is just one example. The same goes for RAM or graphics management.
So how can we measure the actual "chicha" of a terminal?
To measure the real performance of a device we will need a benchmarking tool. This will be in charge of testing the terminal, and based on purely objective values, it will award a note or score for that specific device.
Antutu Benchmark: The most reliable app to measure performance on Android and iOS
If we are used to reading hardware comparisons on the internet, we have surely heard its name at some time. AntutuIt is the most popular app, and most accepted by the community to measure the performance of a terminal. In fact, it was the benchmarking tool used in the 2014 Google I / O, and since then it is practically considered an industry standard.
With Antutu we can examine all the technical aspects of the equipment, from the performance of RAM, CPU, GPU, through writing speed, 2D / 3D graphics or user experience. Antutu measures everything.
It also has other more than remarkable functions, such as the possibility of measuring in a versus comparative your smartphone with any other terminal that you can think of (there are almost all of them). A great way to know if your mobile is better than a Nexus 6 or the latest model of Huawei, for example.
How to use Antutu Benchmark
For someone new to Antutu, its use can be a bit confusing. The first thing to do as soon as you install the Antutu app is to install another complementary app, Antutu 3DBench. If not, we will have problems launching the first scan.
Here are the 2 apps to install, both Antutu Benchmark What Antutu 3DBench.

Once the scan is done, the tool shows the score obtained by the terminal, which is obtained by adding all the aspects contemplated in the test (3D, UX, CPU and RAM).
The test you see in the images is made with a UMI Plus , my most recent mobile (and with which by the way, I am really delighted). As you can see, thanks to Antutu I can know that in terms of performance the UMI plays in the same league as the IPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. All of them with scores very similar to the UMI Plus.
To compare your Smartphone with another model first you have to perform an examination of the terminal, and then display the side menu and select "Search”. Next we will only have to indicate the name of the terminal with which we want to measure ourselves and carry out the search in the Antutu database.
Ranking Antutu 2016: What are the best terminals of this year?
In purely technical terms, the smartphones with the best performance in Antutu at this point in 2016 are the following.
As you can see, there are no big surprises at the top of the table. The iPhone 7 and the 7 Plus stand out above the rest. What is striking is the third position of the Leeco LEX720, a model that was presented in the summer but we have not heard from since. If anyone hopes to find Samsung on the list, it will have to descend to number 13, occupied by the flagship of the Samsung, the Galaxy S7 Edge.
