Whatever it takes for one more follower, for one more visit, for one more like on your YouTube channel. With that maxim in mind, the couple formed by Monalisa Perez (19 years old) and Pedro Ruiz (22 years old) tried to record his most dangerous video to date. A video that ended in tragedy, with Pedro's death from a gunshot wound as a fatal outcome.
The facts: the phone book that should stop the bullet
The goal was to record a video so dangerously amazing that it went viral as soon as it was uploaded to his brand new YouTube channel. A channel with a short life of barely a month, and in which its owners had all the hopes of the world pinned.
The idea of the couple was demonstrate how a phone book can stop a bullet shot. To do this, Monalisa fired a direct shot at close range (30 cm) into Pedro's chest, with a Desert Eagle semi-automatic pistol, and with the aforementioned script as the only barrier between the bullet and the body of his partner.
Unfortunately (and unsurprisingly), the book didn't stop the bullet, impacting directly on Pedro's chest, and causing him a fatal wound of necessity. Perez, who in addition to being the mother of a 3-year-old girl is expecting another child of the deceased, immediately called the police, but nothing could be done to save the young YouTuber's life, according to CNN.
She already warned in a tweet, now she is detained and awaiting trial

In the words of Jeremy Thornton, Norman (Minnesota) County Commissioner, “I wouldn't call it an accident. It was on purpose”. Accident or not, what is clear is that we are faced with a strong candidate for the next Darwin Awards Next year. Human stupidity in its purest form.
