The question that we will all be asking ourselves at this moment is surely the same: "Why is it worth so much money?" The answer is that it is a high-end and luxury smartphone, and both the phone itself and the other accessories are designed exclusively by Porsche itself. For the rest, it is a top of the range with one of the best greased hardware of the moment.
Design and display
On the front the terminal mounts an excellent 6-inch AMOLED screen with a Full HD + resolution (2160 x 1080p) with a pixel density of 402ppi. The phone is designed with a one-piece glass body with curved edges and offers protection against dust and water (IP67).
On the back, we find the 2 cameras in a vertical arrangement, and under them, the fingerprint reader. A little further down we will find the Huawei logo, and already on the front, the “Porsche Design” emblem with the characteristic typography of the well-known German manufacturer.
The Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Edition has dimensions of 15.40 x 7.40 x 0.79 cm, a weight of 179 grams, and is only available in "Diamond Black" color.
Power and performance
At the hardware level, we could say that this limited edition from Huawei is like a good sports car: powerful and with truly luxurious components. In command we find a Kirin 970 processor Octa Core at 2.4GHz, 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage space. It does not have a slot for SD, but obviously, with all that internal memory it is not that you need it precisely. The operating system, Android 8.0.
In terms of performance - improved, by the way, through the use of Artificial Intelligence - we can be sure that there will be nothing that can resist us. Heavy applications or demanding games, all pass through the filter of the Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Edition without problems. It would be more!
Camera and battery
The photographic section has always been good for Huawei. Mainly because of the invaluable help of Leica and its high quality lenses. In this case, we find a 20MP + 12MP dual rear camera with aperture f / 1.7 and an 8MP selfie camera.
The battery for its part has 4000mAh capacity with USB-C charging, a fairly high figure for a high-end mobile (you know that manufacturers always try to reduce the battery at their top of the range so as not to increase the weight). Something that is appreciated.
As for the rest of the features, clarify that it does not include a 3.5mm jack slot. If we want to use headphones, we will have to use Bluetooth or the mini-jack adapter to USB-C included in the package. Or better yet, use the headphones with a USB-C connector that also come as a gift with the smartphone.
