Stadia: Complete list of games available in 4K at 60FPS

One of the great features that they sold us during the Stadia presentation was that Google's streaming video game platform would allow the execution of games in 4K resolution at 60 fps. However, and despite the fact that we are facing simply incredible technology - you can read the Stadia analysis that we did in this same blog just a month ago - it seems that the service has not been able to deliver these refresh and resolution rates at all the games in your catalog.

On the other hand, it would be necessary to see how many users have monitors capable of taking advantage of such image quality. Although this cannot serve as an excuse for Google in any case, if we look at the figures from Steam to get a global vision of the matter, we see that currently only 2% of gamers enjoy their favorite games in 4K.

List of games for Google Stadia with 4K / 60fps resolution

Now, if it turns out that you have a 4K screen or monitor, there is no doubt that it is going to twist your insides a bit to know that as of January 2020 only 8 titles from the Stadia library are shown in 4K quality with a rate of refresh rate of 60 frames per second.

Percentage is not a bad data, since this assumes that just over 30% of the games available on the Stadia Store move at 4K and 60fps. But of course, if we take into account that the platform only has 26 titles available, maybe the world will fall on us a little.

Stadia games with other resolutions (4K / 30fps, 1080p)

In addition to these games, Stadia also has other titles with 4K resolution, although with a lower refresh rate (30fps). From here, we can find games that move between 1512p and 1080p.

Therefore, if we add all the games that run at 4K / 60fps and 4K / 30fps we see that there are a total of 15 games capable of playing in Ultra HD quality, which means 57% of the total games available.

Why are there so few 4K Ultra HD games for Stadia?

Although Stadia's servers support 4K 60fps playback, this is a feature that is useless if the game is not programmed to move graphics to those standards. As much as Google wants it, it cannot "force" third-party developers to release all their games in native 4K. And of course, the developers also cannot take care of the promises that Google made in its day about the games that would be on its platform.

However, native resolution at 4K / 60fps is one of the essential requirements that we should demand from exclusive titles developed expressly for Stadia by Google's first-party studios.
